HL Deb 17 September 1931 vol 82 c64
LORD PARMOOR

My Lords, I should like to ask the noble Earl who is leading the House whether he can give us any further information as to the course of public business.

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (EARL PEEL)

My Lords, I understand that it is not quite certain at what time the Economy Bill will come up to us, and I think in those circumstances it might be better for the House to adjourn after to-day's proceedings until this day week. We shall then know better—in fact we shall probably know exactly—at what date the House should assemble to receive the Economy Bill.

LORD PARMOOR

I am much obliged to the noble Earl. I quite concur in the suggestion he makes.
