HL Deb 20 November 1931 vol 83 c70

VISCOUNT BRENTFORD had given Notice to move that leave be given for his Motion with reference to outrages in India (which now stands for Wednesday next) to be advanced to Tuesday next. The noble Viscount said: My Lords, you will see on the Paper a Motion for next Wednesday in regard to India, and I understand that my noble friend Lord Elibank has a Motion in front of it. I have consulted various sections of opinion in the House and I gather it will be convenient if my Motion is taken on Tuesday afternoon. I have consulted my noble friend the Leader of the House and also the Leader of the Opposition, and, that being so, I hope your Lordships will agree to allow me to expedite the Motion. I beg to move.

Moved, That leave be given for Viscount Brentford's Motion (which now stands for Wednesday next) to be advanced to Tuesday next.—(Viscount Brentford.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
