HL Deb 17 November 1931 vol 83 c49
THE EARL OF ONSLOW

My Lords, in moving the appointment of the Peers' War Memorial Committee, perhaps noble Lords would like to know that I have Just heard that it is thought certain that the Memorial will be complete by the end of February next. I hope, therefore, that members of this Committee will forgive me if there, is rather an early meeting of the Committee to consider forthcoming arrangements, because I think it will be necessary for this Committee to meet before the Session closes. I beg to move.

Moved, That a Select Committee be appointed to make the necessary arrangements for the erection of the Peers' War Memorial, and to deal generally with natters relating thereto; and that the Lords following, with the Chairman of Committees, be named of the Committee:

—(The Earl of Onslow).

On Question, Motion agreed to.
