HL Deb 13 May 1931 vol 80 c1188
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF ONSLOW)

My Lords, I beg to move, That the Order made on March 10 last, "That this House will not receive any Petition for a Private Bill later than Tuesday, May 5 next, be dispensed with, and that leave be given to the trustees of the Ebenezer Chapel, Birmingham, to present a Petition for leave to introduce a Bill 'to authorise the sale of the site of the Ebenezer Chapel and the burial ground and schoolrooms attached thereto (all in the City of Birmingham) and the application of the proceeds of sale thereof, and for other purposes.'" This becomes necessary through an inadvertence which, I think, has been satisfactorily explained, and I think that your Lordships might be induced to agree to waive the Standing Order.

Moved accordingly and, on Question, Motion agreed to.

The said Petition, together with a copy of the proposed Bill annexed thereto, read and referred to the Examiners.
