HL Deb 25 June 1931 vol 81 cc382-3
THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (LORD PARMOOR)

My Lords, I beg to move in the terms of the Motion which stands in my name upon the Paper that Lord Stanmore be appointed to take the Chair in all Committees of this House during the ensuing week in the absence of the Earl of Onslow. Our Lord Chairman has been asked by the Prime Minister to go to Paris on important public business, which will take up his time next week, and this is a Motion which we have to make when our Chair- man of Committees is taken away from us for a time. I beg to move.

Moved, That the Lord Stanmore be appointed to take the Chair in all Committees of this House during the ensuing week in the absence of the Earl of Onslow.—(Lord Parmoor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
