Order of the Day read for the consideration of the Fourth Report from the Select Committee.

The Committee reported:

1. TELEPHONES.

The Committee sanctioned the installation in the rooms of Heads of Departments of a limited number of the new type of telephone receiver.

2. VISIT TO THE LIBRARY OF THE FRIENDS OF THE NATIONAL LIBRARIES.

The Committee approved arrangements for a visit to the Library by the Friends of the National Libraries.

3. HOUSEKEEPER'S CARPET.

The Committee sanctioned a payment not exceeding £10 for a new Carpet for the housekeeper.

4. FEE FUND.

The account of the Fee Fund of the House of Lords for the year ended 31st March, 1931, was laid before the Committee.

My Lords, I beg to move, that this Report be now considered and adopted. The Report is in your Lordships' hands, and I do not think there is anything I need say in drawing your Lordships' attention to it, except as to the statement of the visit to the Library of the Friends of the. National Libraries. This is a new society that has been formed, and the Committee recommend that its request to visit the Library should be agreed to by your Lordships.
