Clause 9, page 8, leave out Clause 9 and insert the following clause:

Misstatements in certificates, etc.

(". —(1) Any person who makes a wilful misstatement of any material fact in any medical or other certificate or in any statement of bodily or mental condition under this Act stall be guilty of a misdemeanour.

(2) A prosecution for an offence under this section shall not be instituted except by the direction of the Attorney-General or the Director of Public Prosecutions.")

Clause 10, page 8, line 37, at end insert: ("(d) Subsection (2) of Section nine of this Act shall not apply.")

Page 9, line 17, at end insert: ("(d) for any reference to the Attorney-General or to the Director of Public Prosecutions there shall be substituted a reference to the Attorney-General for Northern Ireland.")
