THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (LORD PARMOOR)

My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to amend the law relating to merchant shipping for the purpose of giving effect to an International Convention for the safety of life at sea, signed in London on the thirty-first day of May, nineteen hundred and twenty-nine, and for purposes connected with and incidental to such amendment; and to move that it be now read a first time.
