Clause 42, page 38, line 37, leave out from ("to") to the end of line 40 and insert ("a single arbitrator to be agreed between the parties or, failing such agreement, to be appointed by the President of the Institution of Civil Engineers on the application of either party to the difference after notice thereof to the other.")

EARL DE LA WARR had given Notice to move that this Amendment be agreed to with the following Amendment—namely, to leave out "party" to the end of the Amendment. The noble Earl said: My Lords, I beg to move the Amendment to the Amendment.
