HL Deb 22 July 1930 vol 78 c690

Order of the day for the Second Reading read.

LORD MARLEY

My Lords, I beg to move the Second Reading of this Bill on behalf of my noble friend Lord De La Warr, who is unable to be present. The sole object of this Bill is to rectify an anomaly with regard to the travelling expenses of members of local fishery committees, which has arisen as the result of the passage of the Local Government Act, 1929. No new question of principle is involved. I beg therefore to move that the Bill be now read a second time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2ª. (Lord Marley.)

On Question, Bill read 2ª, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
