HL Deb 31 January 1930 vol 76 c378

Returned from the Commons with certain of the Amendments made by the Lords agreed to and certain other Amendments disagreed to, for which disagreement the Commons assigned Reasons.

THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (LORD PARMOOR): My Lords, the document stating the decisions and Reasons of the other House in relation to the Unemployment Insurance (No. 2) Bill did not arrive here in time to be mentioned last night, although the Government made arrangements for keeping the House sitting as late as possible. What I have to say now is this, that in accordance with arrangements already made between myself and the Leader of the Opposition, the Marquess of Salisbury, we shall meet again, after the adjournment of the House to-day, on Monday to consider the Amendments which have been disagreed to by the House of Commons and deal with them according to our ordinary practice. I move that the House do now adjourn.

Moved accordingly, and, on Question, Motion agreed to.

House adjourned at seven minutes past eleven o'clock
