§ The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House that His Majesty had (by Commission) revoked certain Letters Patent and had appointed the Duke of Devonshire, the Marquess of Reading, the Lord Kintore (E. Kintore), the Lord Granard (E. Granard), the Earl Waldegrave, the Earl of Clarendon, the Earl of Lucan, the Viscount Hutchinson (E. Donoughmore), the Earl Beauchamp, the Earl of Plymouth, the Earl of Birkenhead, the Viscount Sumner, the Viscount Hailsham, the Lord Denman, the Lord Hylton, the Lord Stanmore, the Lord Colebrooke, the Lord Buckmaster, the Lord Muir Mackenzie, the Lord Hanworth, the Lord Marley, the Chairman of Committees for the time being, and any person who shall have been Chairman of Committees, Speakers of the House in the absence of the Lord Chancellor: The said Commission was read.
§ The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House, That the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table the Certificate from the Examiners that the Standing Orders applicable to the following Bill have been complied with:
- Ministry of Health Provisional Order (Bradford Extension).
§ Also the Certificates that the further Standing Orders applicable to the following Bills have been complied with:
- East Kent District Water [H.L.],
- Mid Kent Water [H.L.],
- Liverpool Exchange Company [H.L.],
- Sidmouth Electricity [H.L.],
- United Kingdom Temperance and General Provident Institution [H.L.],
- Ascot District Gas and Electricity [H.L.].
