HL Deb 16 December 1930 vol 79 c591
THE LORD PRESIDENT of THE COUNCIL (LORD PARMOOR)

My Lords, before I move the Second Reading of the British Museum and National Gallery (Overseas Loans) Bill, I would like to make one or two statements about business, which I am sure will be for the convenience of the House. I shall have to give Notice to suspend Standing Order No. XXXIX, if necessary, for the business to-morrow and on Thursday. That, I think, will enable us to take the Royal Commission at an early hour on Friday. It will not be necessary for your Lordships to be present then so long as there is a quorum of the House. At present I do not think that your Lordships will be called back before January 20, but I shall have to make a final announcement upon that before the House adjourns for the Recess.
