HL Deb 01 August 1930 vol 78 cc1201-2

Clause 4, page 7, line 3, leave out ("twenty") and insert ("ten")

LORD THOMSON

My Lords, this deals with a point that I omitted to mention. It reduces the penalty from £20 to £10 for contravention of, or failure to comply with, the provisions of this clause. But in view of the fact that the people who might contravene this clause are people with some character to lose, I do not know that your Lordships would wish to express any objection to it. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Thomson.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
