The Commons disagree to the Lords Amendments for the following Reason: Because they consider it inexpedient that a Court-Martial, whether Military or Air Force, should in the future be empowered to pass sentence of death in respect of any of the offences for which the maximum, punishment under Clause 5 of the Bill, as originally passed by this House, would be penal servitude.
