HL Deb 26 March 1929 vol 73 c970
EARL BUXTON

My Lords, before the House adjourns may I ask the Leader of the House if he has made any final arrangements about the date when the House will return after Easter?

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

My Lords, I did announce a few days ago that it was the intention of the Government to ask your Lordships to meet again on April 11. I understand there has been a certain amount of conversation between noble Lords on the subject and that there is a feeling in some quarters that a day or two more of holidays would agreeable. I do not contest that. Perhaps the noble Earl would allow me to look into it between now and to-morrow and see if I can fall in with that suggestion. There was a Motion on the Paper in the name of one of the noble Lords opposite for April 11, but I understand that that has now been put off to a later date. Perhaps in that case the noble Earl will allow me to occupy the few hours between now and when we meet again in deeply considering this important matter.

House adjourned at ten minutes before eleven o'clock.
