HL Deb 22 July 1929 vol 75 cc152-3

Order of the day for receiving the Report of Amendments read.

LORD PARMOOR

My Lords, I am very glad that though my noble friend Lord De La Warr cannot be here this afternoon, he has met Lord Strachie and other persons who, I understand, had objection either to the drafting or otherwise of the proposals contained in the Bill. They are all satisfied now that the Bill should go through in the form in which it stands. In those circumstances I beg to move that the Report of Amendments be now received.

Moved, That this Report be now received.—(Lord Parmoor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and Amendments reported accordingly.

Then (Standing Order No, XXXIX having been suspended) Bill read 3a, and passed, and sent to the Commons.
