HL Deb 16 May 1928 vol 71 c37
THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD HAILSHAM)

My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend the Marquess of Salisbury, I beg to move the Motion standing in his name on the Paper, that leave may be given to advance the Motion for the Second Reading of the Representation of the People (Equal Franchise) Bill from Tuesday next to Monday next. The purpose of the change is to enable the debate to occupy two days and yet to be finished on Tuesday, which, I gather, is the general wish of your Lordships' House.

Moved, That leave be given to advance the Motion for the Second Reading of the Representation of the People (Equal Franchise) Bill, from Tuesday next to Monday next.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
