§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD HAILSHAM)My Lords, before the adjournment it may be convenient to your Lordships' House that I should mention that the Franchise Bill was down for Tuesday next and that representations have bean made by some members of your Lordships' House that that is earlier than they would desire to deal with the Bill. Accordingly the Franchise Bill will not be taken on Tuesday next. Your Lordships will not be asked to deal with it till Tuesday week, the 22nd.
