HL Deb 30 July 1928 vol 71 c1415

House in Committee (according to Order) on re-commitment of the Bill: Amendments proposed by the Select Committee made.

VISCOUNT GAGE

My Lords, I beg to move that Standing Order No. XXXIX be dispensed with in order that the further stages of this Bill may be taken to-day. The negotiations in connection with this Bill have been very prolonged and it is most desirable that the Bill should be passed this Session.

Moved, That Standing Order No. XXXIX be dispensed with.—(Viscount Gage.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Amendments reported: Bill read 3a, and passed; and returned to the Commons.
