We hope the accounts that we have heard of his complete restoration to health are perfectly accurate.

I can assure the noble and learned Viscount on the Woolsack that his return will meet with a hearty welcome in every quarter of the House. We hope that his health has been thoroughly re-established.
§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT CAVE)My Lords, I am very grateful to the two noble Lords for what they have said and I should like to take this opportunity of stating to the House with how much regret, and real reluctance I have been absent from the sittings of the House and from my duties for so long. If anything of the same kind should happen again I assure the House that it will be through no fault of my own. May I also express my thanks to the noble Earl the Lord Chairman, who during my absence has presided over your Lordships' deliberations?
