His Majesty's reply to the Address of Thursday last reported by the Earl of Shaftesbury as follows:—
I have received your Address submitting certain recommendations with a view to some limitation being placed on claims to Peerages in abeyance. I will comply with your advice and will issue directions in accordance therewith.
