HL Deb 19 May 1926 vol 64 c230
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY)

My Lords, in conformity with what I said to your Lordships and to the noble and learned Viscount (Viscount Haldane) yesterday, I desire to state that upon inquiry I find that there are certain matters which have to be considered in reference to the Midwives and Maternity Homes Bill and, therefore, it will be very difficult to take it at the first sitting after the Recess. With your Lordships' leave, I will defer it for a week and put it down for Tuesday, June 8.
