HL Deb 10 May 1926 vol 64 c121
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY)

My Lords, there is, as you are aware, no business on the Paper for our consideration, but your Lordships thought fit, at my instance last week, to have a meeting to-day, in case there might be any reason for sitting. There is no reason. I need not tell your Lordships that the situation continues to be very grave, and there is nothing more to be said for the moment. I will take this opportunity, if I am allowed, of saying that so long as the crisis lasts I propose that we should meet on Monday of each week. I think it is better not to have a long adjournment.

House adjourned at twenty minutes past four o'clock.
