Sentence in Sheriff Court not to be suspended.

13. It shall not be competent to appeal to the High Court of Justiciary by bill of suspension against any conviction, sentence, judgment or order pronounced after the day of in any proceedings on indictment in the Sheriff Court.

THE DUKE OF SUTHERLAND moved to insert "thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and twenty-six". The noble Duke said: This Amendment is moved because the date was omitted in the original draft of the Bill.

Amendment moved— Clause 13, page 9, line 2, leave out from ("the") to ("in") and insert the said words.—(The Duke of Sutherland.)
