HL Deb 02 March 1926 vol 63 cc386-7
EARL FOTITESCUE

My Lords, I desire on behalf of Lord Clinton to ask His Majesty's Government if they propose to introduce a Bill to amend the Fertilisers and Feeding Stuffs Act, 1906, as proposed in the Reports of the Advisory Committee of 1924 and 1925.

LORD BLEDISLOE

The reply to the Question is that a Bill to amend the Fertilisers and Feeding Stuffs Act, 1906, is now being drafted, and it is hoped that it will be introduced into Parliament shortly. It is proposed to introduce it in this House, and probably soon after Easter. I should like to take this opportunity of expressing the sincere gratitude of the Ministry of Agriculture to Lord Clinton for the great assistance which he has rendered as Chairman of two Departmental Committees which inquired, in 1924 and 1925, into the working of the Act of 1906.
