HL Deb 20 July 1926 vol 65 cc95-6

Clause 3, page 5, line 33, after ("Act") insert ("and the agricultural committee may delegate with or without restrictions to a sub-committee of the said agricultural committee any of their powers and duties under this Act").

LORD BLEDISLOE

My Lords, the last Amendment introduced in another place is to enable the agricultural committee of a council to delegate to its land drainage committee, if it has one, or to another appropriate committee its duties under this Bill. It is proposed to add at the end of subsection (3) of Clause 3 these words: "and the agricultural committee may delegate with or without restriction to a sub- committee of the said agricultural committee any of their powers and duties under this Act." I beg to move that your Lordships agree with this Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Bledisloe.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
