Order of the Day read for the House to be put into Committee on re-commitment of the Bill.

Moved, That the House do now resolve itself into Committee.—(Viscount Gage.)

On Question, Motion agreed to. House in Committee accordingly:

The Amendment proposed by the Committee made.

VISCOUNT GAGE moved, after Article 12, to insert the following new Article:—

For protection of London Midland and Scottish Railway Company.

13. The provisions of sub-divisions (1) to (8) and (12) of the Article of this order of which the marginal note is "For protection of London and North Eastern Railway Company and Midland and North Eastern Railways Joint Committee" shall also extend and apply for the protection of the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company as if the word "Company" where used in the said sub-divisions included the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company.

The noble Viscount said: This clause was agreed to after the meeting of the Select Committee and I understand that it is entirely acceptable to all parties, including the Government. I beg to move.

Amendment moved— Page 14, after Article 12, insert the said new Article.—(Viscount Gage.)
