§ THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (THE EARL OF BALFOUR)My Lords, in answer to the noble and learned Viscount I have to tell the House that it is proposed to adjourn from to-morrow until Tuesday, November 9, but I ought to add that the House may have to meet on August 30 in order to move the continuance of the Emergency Regulations. As regards to-morrow, I hope we shall have to meet only for purely formal business. The hour will be a quarter past twelve and I hope the Royal Assent will be given to the necessary Bills at half past twelve.
