HL Deb 27 April 1926 vol 63 c935

Order of the Day for the Third Reading read.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (The EARL of DONOUGHMORE)

My Lords, with regard to the first Bill on the Order Paper this afternoon, I would ask your Lordships to postpone the Third Reading until to-morrow. I have had a communication from a noble Lord opposite, Lord Olivier, whom I am sorry not to see in his place, telling me he would like to discuss a point on the Bill with me. I have not had an opportunity of seeing him yet, but I have no doubt if your Lordships will give me twenty-four hours I shall be able to settle the point. I would ask therefore that it be put down for Third Reading to-morrow.

Third Reading put off till to-morrow.
