§ Order of the Day for the Third Reading read.
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (The EARL of DONOUGHMORE)My Lords, with regard to the first Bill on the Order Paper this afternoon, I would ask your Lordships to postpone the Third Reading until to-morrow. I have had a communication from a noble Lord opposite, Lord Olivier, whom I am sorry not to see in his place, telling me he would like to discuss a point on the Bill with me. I have not had an opportunity of seeing him yet, but I have no doubt if your Lordships will give me twenty-four hours I shall be able to settle the point. I would ask therefore that it be put down for Third Reading to-morrow.
Third Reading put off till to-morrow.
