HL Deb 04 May 1925 vol 61 c2
LORD ARNOLD

My Lords, may I ask the noble Marquess the Leader of the House on what day it is proposed to take the Second Reading of the British Empire Exhibition (Guarantee) Bill?

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY)

My Lords, as the noble Lord is aware, there is a considerable desire to get this Bill through in order that it may receive the Royal Assent before the Wembley Exhibition opens again. Therefore, with his consent, we propose to take the Second Reading to-morrow. I hope that will be convenient to him.

LORD ARNOLD

That is a perfectly convenient day for me.

House rose at twenty minutes past four o'clock.
