§ Clause 1:
§ Extended powers of making by-laws.
§ (2) In Section two of the principal Act the words "or to disfigure the natural beauty of a landscape" are hereby repealed without prejudice to the validity of any by-law in force and valid at the passing of this Act.
§ EARL DE LA WARR moved to leave out subsection (2). The noble Earl said: My Lords, this Amendment is in accordance with that which I moved on the Committee stage. I have adjusted it to agree with certain suggestions of the noble Lord opposite. I gather that it has the approval of the Billposters' Association. I beg to move.

§ EARL OF DE LA WARE moved, at the end of the clause, to insert the following new subsection: "In the application of this Act to Scotland the expression 'district committee' shall be substituted for 'rural district council'."
