HL Deb 12 March 1925 vol 60 c526

The Clerk of the Parliaments brought to the notice of the Committee a circular received from the Treasury with reference to the reassessment of the civil pay of certain Civil Servants who served in His Majesty's Forces during the war. This reassessment is a consequence of the decision of the House of Lords in the case of Sutton v. Rex, and also of the decision of the Court of Appeal in the matter of the Petitions of Right of Pidduck and certain other Post Office servants.

The Committee adopted the recommendation of the Clerk of the Parliaments that no action should be taken on the circular.
