HL Deb 18 June 1925 vol 61 cc694-5
THE EARL OF CLARENDON

My Lords, before the House adjourns I should like to say one word in regard to next Monday. An undertaking was given that the House should, as from Monday next, meet on Mondays after the Whitsuntide recess, but there being no business down for that day it is not proposed to call the House together. The principle, however, still remains, that we shall still sit on Mondays whenever there is any business to do.

EARL BEAUCHAMP

I think the course suggested by the noble Earl is right. We shall have to sit on Mondays as a rule, but as there is no business for next Monday I quite agree with the course he suggests.
