Committee for Privileges met: Counsel heard to open the ease on behalf of the claimant the Marquess of Hertford: Counsel appearing for the claimant Sir Edward Hamilton Seymour and for the petitioner Henry Sydney Seymour: The Solicitor-General appearing on behalf of the Crown: Committee adjourned to Wednesday next.

The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House, that the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table from the Examiners a certificate with a special report under Standing Order No. 78 in respect of the following Bill:—

Ancient Monuments Preservation Order Confirmation.

The said certificate and report referred to the Standing Orders Committee.

House adjourned at a quarter past six o'clock.
