HL Deb 30 April 1925 vol 60 cc1117-8
THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

My Lords, I am afraid I must ask your Lordships to allow a formal sitting to take place on Monday. The time is rapidly approaching when you)' Lord-ships would probably wish to sit for more than a formal sitting on Mondays, but on Monday next I do not propose to ask you to have more than a formal sitting. It is necessary to pass the First Reading of the British Empire Exhibition (Guarantee) Bill, which has to be got through before the date fixed for the opening of the Exhibition. There will be only a very few days in which to do it, and I hope your Lordships will allow-that to be done. I beg to move.

Moved, That the House do now adjourn until Monday next, May 4.—(The Marquess of Salisbury.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.

House adjourned at five minutes before five o'clock.
