to make a short personal explanation. One day last week there was a debate in this House on the dangers of motor traffic in London, and I and other noble Lords made some observations with regard to a member of the House of Commons, who will easily be identified by the name of Lord Curzon. Since then I have ascertained that the case in question is still sub judice, and I desire to express my regret that I made any allusion to the noble Lord, because the last thing I wish to do is to interfere with the course of justice. Perhaps I may be permitted to add that, whilst in no way modifying my opinions with regard to furious motor driving, I bear no animus whatsoever against this gentleman; on the contrary, I have considerable respect for him as a courageous and energetic member of the Party to which I belong.
