§ THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (LORD PARMOOR)My Lords, there is one matter of which I should like to give the House notice. The Consolidated Fund Bill will receive its Third Reading in the other House on Thursday next, and it must be passed into law by Friday next. That will necessitate this House sitting on Friday and passing the Bill through all its stages. It will not necessitate your Lordships being present, because I understand there will be a quorum as there is a judicial sitting of the House on that day.
