HL Deb 09 July 1924 vol 58 cc401-2

Read 3a (according to Order).

LORD MUIR MACKENZIE

My Lords, there are three Amendments down in my name—one on Clause 10 and two on Clause 14—which are simply verbal corrections and ought to have appeared in the Report of the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills. I mention that particularly because it is very undesirable that Amendments should be moved on these Consolidation Bills. For that reason I want to make it clear that these are not Amendments of the Bill but corrections of what was done by the Joint Committee itself.

Clause 10 (Compensation in respect of property injuriously affected by scheme, etc.):

Amendment moved—

Clause 10, page 9, line 24, leave out ("or"), and after ("adoption") insert ("or making").—(Lord Muir Mackenzie.)

On Question, Amendment agreed to.

Clause 14 (power of Minister to order adoption of town planning scheme):

Amendments moved—

Clause 14, page 12, line 25, leave out ("imposed") and insert ("proposed")

Clause 14, page 12, line 34, leave out ("such").—(Lord Muir Mackenzie.)

On Question, Amendments agreed to.

Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.

House adjourned at a quarter past seven o'clock.
