HL Deb 07 July 1924 vol 58 c217
LORD BANBURY OF SOUTHAM

My Lords, I desire to ask the Lord President of the Council a question as to business to-morrow. I should like to know whether it would be possible for the House to meet a little earlier than usual in order to ensure that the Division on the Bishop of Oxford's Bill—the Liquor (Popular Control) Bill—is taken tomorrow night.

THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (LORD PARMOOR)

I must say at once that it would be impossible to meet earlier to-morrow as the Judicial Business will be going on and the Committee for Privileges is sitting.

THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE

My Lords, may I say that I cannot imagine a more inconvenient suggestion?
