HL Deb 14 February 1924 vol 56 c157
THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I beg leave also to introduce a Bill to amend the law with respect to the jurisdiction and business of the Supreme Court in England and with respect to the officers and offices thereof, and otherwise with respect to the administration of justice in England.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 1a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read 1a, and to be printed.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I should like to suggest that the Second Readings of this Bill and the Criminal Justice Bill, which are not controversial, might be conveniently fixed for Thursday of next week.

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

My Lords, that will be long enough.
