HL Deb 12 February 1924 vol 56 cc118-9
LORD MUIR MACKENZIE

My Lords, I beg to move to resolve, That it is desirable that all Consolidation Bills in the present Session be referred to a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament. The Motion is one that is made almost every year, and is always accepted by your Lordships. It is in order to carry on the very useful work of the consolidation of Statutes, and there are several Bills ready to be dealt with immediately. I therefore move the Motion standing in my name.

Moved accordingly, and, on Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to communicate this Resolution, and to desire their concurrence.

[From Minutes of January 22.]
