HL Deb 11 December 1924 vol 60 cc85-6
THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (THE MARQUESS CURZON OF KEDLESTON)

My Lords, I beg to make the Motion of which Notice has been given in respect of the Law of Property Act (Postponement) Bill and the Law of Property (Amendment) Bill. The circumstances under which this Motion is made were explained by the noble and learned Viscount on the Woolsack yesterday, and the necessity was acquiesced in by the noble and learned Viscount, Lord Haldane, opposite, so that feel I need say nothing to your Lordships' House in making the Motion.

Moved, That Standing Order No. XXXIX be considered in order to its being suspended for this day's sitting for the purpose of taking the Law of Property Act (Postponement) Bill [H.L.] and the Law of Property (Amendment) Bill [H.L.] through their remaining stages.—(The Marguess Curzon of Kedleston.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
