Order of the Day read for the consideration of Commons Message:

That they have appointed a Committee to consist of five Members to join with a Committee of this House to examine the British Law as to the nationality of married women; to consider in their legal and practical aspects the questions involved in the possession by husband and wife of the same or of different nationalities and with due regard thereto, and to the operation of the laws of foreign countries, to report what, if any, alteration of the British Law is desirable, and request this House to appoint an equal number of Lords to be joined with the Members of their House.

My Lords, I beg to make the Motion standing in my name.

Moved, That a Committee of five Lords be appointed to join with the Committee of the Commons, and that the Lords following be named of the Committee—

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Lords appointed to join with the Committee of the Commons have power to agree with the Committee of the Commons in the appointment of a Chairman. Then a Message was ordered to be sent to the Commons to inform them of the appointment of the said Committee by this House, and to propose that the Joint Committee do meet in Committee Room C on Tuesday next, at twelve o'clock.
