§ Commons Message of Thursday last considered (according to Order).

§ THE EARL OF CLARENDON
My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend the Marquess of Salisbury, I beg to move the Resolution which appears on the Paper.

§ Moved, That a Committee of eight Lords be appointed to join with the Committee of the Commons, and that the Lords following be named of the Committee:

Archbishop of Canterbury,
E. Clarendon,
E. Beauchamp,
E. Midleton,
V. Ullswater,
L. Denman,
L. Newton,
L. Stuart of Wortley.

§ On Question, Motion agreed to.

§ Ordered, That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the House of Commons on the appointment of a Chairman.

§ Then a Message was ordered to be sent to the Commons to inform them of the appointment of the said Committee.

§ House adjourned at seven o'clock.
