HL Deb 16 July 1923 vol 54 c1029
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE)

My Lords, I beg to move the Resolution which appears on the Paper in regard to this Bill. The Bill has had a very long passage through the House of Commons, owing to the importance of the provisions which it contains. It is now, I understand, unopposed, and I think it is reasonable that your Lordships should dispense with the Sessional Order.

Moved, That the Order made on the 26th day of April last, "That no Private Bill brought from the House of Commons shall be read a second time after Thursday the 14th day of June next," be dispensed with, and that the Bill be now read 2".—(The Earl of Donoughmore.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and Bill read 2a accordingly.
