THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

My Lords, I beg to make the Motion standing in the name of my noble friend the Leader of the House.

Moved, That this House do concur in the following Resolution communicated by the Commons namely:—"That it is expedient that a Select Committee of the Commons be appointed to join with a Committee of the Lords to consider the desirability of altering the customary period of the Parliamentary Session and the incidental charges necessary thereto."—(The Marquess of Salisbury.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to acquaint them therewith.
