THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE)My Lords, I beg to move that a Select Committee on the House of Lords Offices be appointed; 51 and that the Lords following, with the Lord Chancellor and the Chairman of Committees, be named of the Committee:
I apologise to your Lordships for the fact that, for a reason for which I expect I am to blame, one name was omitted from the printed list of the proposed Committee, that of the noble Earl, 52 Lord Strafford. I think, as a matter of fact, this is the second time that Lord. Strafford's name has been omitted, and I can only express the hope that on a third occasion, next session, I may be more lucky.
