HL Deb 25 May 1922 vol 50 c798
LORD ISLINGTON

My Lords, I desire to ask that His Majesty's Government should ensure that the Mandate for Palestine be considered and approved by Parliament prior to ratification by the Council of the League of Nations.

THE EARL OF CRAWFORD

My Lords, the Mandate cannot be confirmed, I understand, for some time to come, and the Government would invite Lord Islington, therefore, to select a day soon after the Whitsuntide recess on which he should put down a Motion and raise a discussion on the subject.

House adjourned at ten minutes before seven o'clock until Monday next a quarter past four o'clock.
