§ Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.
§ LORD SOUTHWARKMy Lords, this Bill has passed through a Grand Committee of the House of Commons and it was read a third time without opposition. It is, I believe, a thoroughly non-contentious measure, and has the support of His Majesty's Government. I will not, therefore, trouble your Lordships with any further remarks, but will merely move that the Bill be now read a second time.
§ Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(Lord Southwark.)
302THE EARL OF ONSLOWMy Lords, I need only say that the promoters of this Bill were in communication with the Ministry of Health last year, and that no objection is offered to their proposal.
§ On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
